Requesting a New Password
Sooner or later everyone forgets a password. This is more likely to occur for those who use a strong password strategy. To support the use of strong passwords, our sites make it easy for you to securely generate a new password at anytime.
If a login link is visible on your site, select it to go to the login screen. In the login screen, select "Request new password". If no login link is visible on your site, simply add '/user/password' to your root domain.
Here's an example: http://www.example.com/user/password
A view similar to the following should be displayed.
Note: If you do not see the 'Request new password' link, then this feature has been disabled by your site administrator. In this case, you must contact your site administrator to change your password.
- Enter the email address associated with your account and submit the form. An email will be automatically generated with a one-time login link. Locate this message in your Inbox. If you can't find it, be sure to check all Spam and Junk folders.
- Select the link in the email message, or copy and paste it into your browser address bar. This will take you to a one-time login in.
- You will be asked to enter a new password of your choice. Do it!
